Emiliana Torrini/Me And Armini

Emiliana Torrini’s “Me and Armini” I know since 2009/2010, I think. While the first song that interested me was Birds her other song Jungle Drum seemed to be a No.1 hit in German speaking countries for a while in 2009.

I still consider _Birds_ much better by far, even if I have to admit the other song is catchier. Maybe it’s the more jazz-like tune, maybe the slow built-up - I don’t know.

But in total that doesn’t make all the other songs less good. More the opposite.

Emiliana Torrini I’ve always been listening to in the evenings, mostly during winter (which is hopefully coming back soon), so the musical imprints I’ve made are more of that kind of nature and mood. And that’s why I prefer to listen to her in the evening, when it’s quite outside, maybe a bit stormy and you can be inside with a warm cup of tea or so…
