On the danish ship

How to make a weekend long? Well, one possibility is to take a trip to Frederikshavn and back on the ferry of Stena Line. This is called: taking a Danish boat-trip in Norway. Not something to be proud of, since it’s not considered really having a vacation.  It’s more like a swimming bar with cheap alcohol.

As soon as you come on board you see Norwegians storming into the Duty-Free area and buying everything they can carry, especially alcoholic stuff. Reasonable since it’s much cheaper than in Norway.

The stop in Frederikshavn takes about two hours, at a day-time where no shop but the local Wine-Store is open. Guess why? But beside all the drunken people, there was a very good point to mention: Try to book the tour on a Friday. That day, Stena Line is having they Girls-Trip. What that means? Well, there are a lot more girls than men on the boat….
