Concert: Ane Brun

After summer is over, finally the concert season starts. On Thursday it was time for Ane Brun. After her new album came out last month I could finally go to the concert as well. Though I’ve been a bit sceptical about the album I now have to say: It’s getting better and better. The album has been made fairly well, but in comparison to her previous concerts and albums she’s much better live than you could guess from the Album. I don’t know why they’ve musically limited some songs on the album.  Compared to the live versions she plays now, I should consider making bootlegs. Faen. That was a really good concert.

You could see that she definitely has developed her music. It’s getting much more complex now, sometimes more based on rhythms than before and less guitars. If you’re really into the beginnings of her music, fairly folk based, you might struggle a bit shifting over to this new sound. But songs line “one” or “the light from one” - when you’ve seen them life you get hooked to them at once.
