Xournal

Just a quick drop for myself in order to be able to remember this: `Xournal <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xournal>`_ is a note-taking application which also supports PDF annotations.  

Though I don't have a purpose for the note-taking functions, annotating PDF documents was an open point on my problem list. So far I've used `GIMP <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GIMP>`_ to address this by importing PDF documents, writing the text into the PDF-not-so-forms and exporting it as PDF again.

Xournal does exactly this, just faster. I don't have to interfere with the interface of GIMP for adding text. Just open the document, drop some lines there and export it. The alternative would have been that people creating forms as PDF actually knew what they were doing and would create a proper form. An Utopia, I guess.
