Same as :ref:`Ben Howard <2013-ben_howard_the_burgh_island>` a while ago, the Australian `Matt Corby <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Corby>`__ has just a little output (both are quite young). I hope this will increase over time. However, both have publish some exceptional songs so far.

Though is wasn't enough material for a whole album, the EP *Song for...* gave a good introduction of what more there will be to expect.

In one episode of `The Voice 2013 <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Voice_(TV_series)>`__ `Kristian Kristensen <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64YnTUAryFg>`__ delivered an astonishing performance of Matt Corby's song `Brother <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IglwAVcuE6c>`__.  The cover version might even be better than the original, but it pointed my focus into the right direction.

While going through the previous songs, I more and more fell into the sound of this Australian. There are surely some analogies to `Bon Iver <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bon_iver>`__, especially within the voice. But that's about it. I don't want to give you the idea of him just being a mirror of Iver.
