Radio drama

For the most time of the probably last ten years I have listened to podcasts. A lot. On a daily basis. On and from way to work, basically where ever I go alone.

Recently radio Dramas have show up in my podcast feeds. Or at least some references to them.

What I wasn’t aware of is that they had a height in the 30’s and 40’s in the last century. Stories so weird and off today’s narrative, that they become interesting again.

One of the big series at that time was the radio show of “The Twilight Zone”. Alone the TV series had a lot of episodes, the radio show comes up with currently 18 volumes/seasons.

A good part of them are versions of the identical named TV episodes, of course. There’s nothing wrong about reusing some material, I think.

So right now I am looking forward to many hours of commuting and listening to these short episodes. It’s time to appreciate the good things in life. How know when they will come back, eh?
