Trentemøller/Into the great wide yonder¶
This Danish guy followed me around since 2009, I think. Trentemøller was probably one of the earliest recommendations I got. But I didn’t really manage to listen to him since lately. The album Into the great wide yonder finally manage to pull me in, though.
This more electronic album reminds me of a mix of Massive Attack, The Glitch Mob and Aphex Twin. Somewhere in between. But right in the middle of my taste buds.
It’s not that catchy and noisy as the mob, not that destructive as Twin and not that ordered as MA. It combined some other key facts of this three categories into something new.
I can’t speak for the other albums, of course. Not yet at least. There’s a good chance that I’ll follow that through and see what’s behind the horizon of this danish fellow that kept hidden for too long.
