Head and the heart/The Head and the Heart

Album and Band have the same name. That’s either a sign of a lack of ideas or of a too high opinion about yourself. The Head and the Heard from Washington have done it that way and called their album after themselves. In this case I’ll make an exception.

I think….

… I found them in a KCRW-Show last year and put them on my list. They haven’t been around here since, so the only thing that was left for me was their only album out there.

This group fits into the general folk genre. But somehow they manage to make some songs that you might have heard before (even if you haven’t). Songs that sound strangely familiar. Not uncomfortable and squared. Good enough to listen more than a couple of times to it if you like.

But: Good News!!! There’s a new one coming out next month. If they manage to connect to the previous one finally something new for my ears.
