M83/Before the dawn heals us¶
After now two weeks without any music (traveling and stuff) another crystal of music. I have mainly the song Moonchild in my head, but more about that later.
Again I’m not sure how the album made it in my collection, the source I thought I had it from neglected all knowledge about it. What a pity.
M83 is playing an unusual mix of sounds. I’d put them somewhere close to MEW. Not too close, just the direction. Butt their music leaves less traces, less melodies in your head. I listened to the albums for hours, enjoyed almost every single song, but only one left a melody back in my head. That’s strange.
The song I’m talking about is _Moonchild. I’ve heard it before in an episode (Series 6, Episode 6 of the BBC Series Top Gear where they’re racing from London to Oslo. On their way they had to cross the Öresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden. That’s when the song comes up.
Btw: I can recommend watching the whole episode anyway…
