Concert: Bowerbirds¶
Damn, I’m tired. And I know exactly why. Yesterday <strike>evening</strike> night Bowerbirds played at John Dee. The tickets were on my first fridge and moved then to the second one. In my calendar the event popped up and I found the tickets immediately. Nothing to worry about here, please go on.
Quite uncommon, the doors opened at 2200, probably because of the Øya-festival currently happening and people should be able to reach the next concert after the last act played.
So arrival at 22:30, support playing at 2240, Bowerbirds starting at ~0005 and played close until 0200. So bed-time was about 0245. sigh
The concert was nice, nothing to regret. It was a cosy little concert (if you’ve been to John Dee before, you know how it is there) with roughly 100 people, if I had to guess. Nothing to stress.
One word about the support: Theresa Aune is getting constantly better since the first time I saw her as support. But that’s mostly affecting her Live-music, not her singing. Don’t misunderstand me: It’s not bad, but I think she can do more when she manages to bring the complexity of the musical orchestration of the performance into her singing voice as well. Go on!
