Ben Cooper/Family Tree The Roots

Ben Cooper is an American singer and songwriter. After this album last year, his The Family Tree - The Roots album might a candidate for the best ones I found this year. If I would have found it last year it would be quite hard to decide between these two. Luckily I don’t have to.

The album itself is already from 2011, so I’m not quite sure, how I should count this: This year? Last year?

He’s currently touring in Europe and though the tour-plan doesn’t seem to have any show near me, there might be some, one day.

To put the music in a certain category (if you insist) it would end up somewhere at Acoustic Rock or something - but as always it’s better to make up your mind yourself. You’ll probably put it in a different category anyway. Certainly in a different one than me.

Let’s hope there’s more coming. At last a tree is just more than roots…
