Misfits

I finished finally a TV-Series called Misfits from 2009/2010 running on BBC and currently available on YouTube. I only remembered a series called that way from the 80’s and that has been a bit weird.

After watching the first episode on YouTube I watched… the second. And now after roughly two weeks I’ve almost finished the complete first two seasons and I have to say: Great! Absolutely great.

It’s really funny to see how this group of young people accidentally kill their probation worker one by one  and they just try to get their life sorted out.

I like the accents, the characters, the storyline, the humour, the camera and the music. Especially the music (OST) you should check out. It’s a compilation of good, some unknown, some fairly well-known songs, without ever drifting into the  banality of Pop. You’ll find everything from Damien Rice, Massive Attack, Aphex Twin, Florence and the Machine, Kraftwerk, The Prodigy, Iron & Wine, The Cure, The Black Keys, …. and it doesn’t end. This will take another two weeks until I’m done with that track list.
