Berlin, Berlin

Did I ever mention, that I really think I don’t know Berlin that well? Funny - though I’ve been there about five to six times, I don’t feel very familiar with that city. In my memory Berlin always was a very anonymous and crowded place and therefore I can’t really understand why so many people like  that city. With “so many people” I mean the people I talked to so far (which are mainly foreigners). So I started wondering: Is my idea of Berlin really right or did I just get a different idea of it, because I haven’t really seen anything of it?

Challenge accepted. This weekend we go to Berlin, spent there two nights and will see how it looks from the touristic point of view. That’s gonna be interesting, I hope. Apart from some places I seriously don’t know much about the City. I’m able to find Kranzler, Wellenstein (which has been closed and moved to another place as I just found out), Hackeschen Hoefe and Alexander Platz. But apart from that…. don’t really know what to do there.  Well, that’s not 100% true. We’ve got some plans so far, but I’ll explain them when we’re back.

PS: Initially I tried to find a nice picture of Berlin in the internet, but all the licensing stuff doesn’t really allow you to use picture without putting a shitload of responsibilities on your shoulders. Therefore I skipped it, will take my own one and illustrate this post later on when I’m back. And this you can then use and do whatever you want to with it… I don’t care.
