Finally I found a place that made me remember at least a little bit of the famous (it should have been world-famous, I think) Merlin. Unfortunately this the Merlin has been l closed a couple of years ago, since the building it was placed in was close to collapse. Just another side of that charming character this place offered. Bits and pieces of the evidence for the existing of this place are only partially available in the Internet (Galleries). I didn’t find even a single hint in the local newspaper of that area.

It must have been around 7 to 9 years since I enjoyed a night in a bar like this. I spent the night dancing, singing and listening to nice music. Of course, nothing can compare to the original Merlin and the unique playlists* they were playing there, but the last night was at least a good start. So if anybody knows a good place in Oslo where they play this kind of music and also offer an at least small place to dance: Contact me!
